It went through the Ridge Roundabout, Accra Psychiatric Hospital traffic light, Accra business district to the Atta Mills High street, Independence square and back to the forecourt of the State House.
In attendance were security agencies, members of the diplomatic corps, officials of the UN System in Ghana and officials of some government departments and agencies.
It was organised by the Inter-Ministerial ad hoc Committee set up the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration to plan activities for the celebration to be climaxed with a flag-raising ceremony and photo exhibition at the Forecourt of the State House tomorrow.
