Veteran football administrator Kofi Manu “Blue Boy” has rejected claims that Kwesi Appiah must take the blame for the team’s poor performance at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
Rather, he
said everyone should take a portion of the blame for the team’s disastrous
performance and not solely the coach.
‘People are preaching against Kwesi Appiah
whereas what happened is not solely his fault, but it includes all.” He told
Ashh FM Sports.
“From the top to the last supporter, all of us
should be blamed. If we are dissolving, then it should start from the very top
to the last supporter.”
“Why were some people put there as managers of
the Black Stars when they have no business doing in Egypt.
“When we say a team, then we don’t refer to only
the playing aspect, we have management, technical and the main actors who are
the players” He added
The last time Ghana won the African Cup of
Nations was 1982 in Libya.
