Boxing Promotion outfit, Box Office Sports Promotions (BOS) on Friday signed a sponsorship deal with Somoco Ghana Limited, distributors and marketers of Motorcycles and Bajaj RE Tricycles.
The deal was to strengthen ties between the two institutions, support and promote their brand through boxing promotions.
Speaking on the sponsorship, General Manager of Somoco Ghana Limited, Mr Shankar Sharma pledged his outfit’s unflinching support forthe promotion of boxing.
“We are ready to support sports especially boxing because of our brands, Boxer rhymes with the sport of boxing,” he said.
Speaking at the event, Mr Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BOS Promotions promised his firm’s readiness to support and promote Somoco Ghana Limited through their promotions.
He said a lot can be achieved in the future to raise Ghana’s next set of boxing stars.
Dubbed ‘Rumble to Freedom’ BOS Promotions will stage their first bout in 2022 when George ‘Red Tiger’ Ashie battles Robert ‘Stopper’ Quaye for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Continental African Junior Welterweight title at the Bukom Boxing Arena on March 6.
