Aduana Stars deepen Hearts’ woes

Aduana Stars delivered a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Accra Hearts of Oak in their week 13 clash at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa.

Experienced Bright Adjei scored the winner in the 70th minute to stay at the top of the table with 24 points.

The defeat followed their mid-week elimination from the FA Cup by Nania FC and would add to the Phobian woes that saw the departure of their former Head Coach, Martin Koopman.

The game itself was a closely contested affair, with both sides creating chances throughout. Aduana’s victory was largely thanks to their solid defensive display, which limited Hearts of Oak’s opportunities.
