Dansoman -based Women’s Premier League (WPL) club, Faith Ladies, have received an incredible boost from the Member of Parliament for the area, Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, ahead of their deciding league fixture against Hasaacas Ladies today in Sekondi.
The Communications and Digitalisation Minister presented GH₵25,000 to faith Ladies to support the club’s preparations for the big decider.
The CEO of the club, Mr Ebenezer AdoteyAllotey, who was thrilled by the support received from the MP expressed the team’s gratitude for the timely intervention.
He reiterated that the continuous support of the MP to the club was a huge booster and encouragement to the girls knowing they have the full support of their MP.
It would be recalled that Mrs Owusu-Ekuful supported the club to win the Women Premier League Super Cup coronet against Ampem Darkoa Ladies last season.
Faith Ladies, who have demonstrated an impressive form this season, are currently placed second on the league log, two points behind their title contenders, Hasaacas Ladies.
Today’s game is thus expected to be a fierce battle between the two top clubs, with both sides vying for the Premier League title.
