Ghana’s local contingent – Black Galaxies will continue their preparations for the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament as they take on their Algerian counterparts in a special friendly this afternoon.
The Galaxies have had some magnificent run in preparations after wins over Egyptian club side Al-Ahly as well as that country’s Under-20 side – having also beaten local Ghanaians sides – Hearts of Oak, Legon Cities, and Mountaineers FC.
Today’s friendly will take place at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers.
The team is expected to run off their preparations with a final game against Mozambique on Monday before heading for Constantine to pitch camp for the tournament proper.
Ghana will open their campaign against Madagascar on January 15 in the three-week tournament that begins from January 13 to February 4.
The Galaxies are paired in Group C that also include Morocco and Sudan.
