NPP, NDC served parochial interest–Ivor Greenstreet

Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, the Convention People’s Party (CPP) 2016 presidential candidate, has observed that the party remains the best alternative to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) because their administrations have only served parochial interest rather than the interest of the citizenry.

He assured that a vote for a CPP government in 2020 will liberate the citizenry from the under-performing NPP and NDC saying “we are working hard on how to prosecute the agenda of the CPP in providing hope and opportunity to Ghanaians and an agenda of providing serious alternative to the NPP and NDC in the 2020 general election”.

Speaking at the Upper East Regional Delegates’ conference of the party in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region, Mr Greenstreet pointed out that “both parties may have implemented policies and programmes for the good of citizens but they have paid lip-service to interventions that will provide hope, opportunities and relief for all Ghanaians.

“We support the introduction of the free Senior High School by the NPP because it provides an opportunity and hope for the citizenry but we believe in a free basic education right to the tertiary level, we believe, we will be far better implementers of the policy.

“We will expand the National Health Insurance Scheme to cover all ailments and introduce free annual medical checkup under the scheme for the citizenry, there are many policies that, the CPP is going to put together including making sure that, there are jobs for all Ghanaians.

“That will differentiate the CPP from the NPP and the NDC who have over the years served their own interest and not that of the people, I admonish the regional executives to work with the rank and file of the party for victory in the 2020 general election,” Mr Greenstreet stressed. -citinewsroom.com
