The Damang Golf Course in the Western region will be the centre of attraction for golf enthusiasts when themuch anticipated 2022 Ghana Open Golf Championship reaches its crescendo with mouthwatering final day matches today.
According to the event organisers, participants will competeon professional and scratch fields in both male and female, seniors and juniors categories.
Mr Mike Aggrey, President of the Ghana Golf Association (GGA)said ahead of the final day matches that 90 amateurs and 50 professionals are featuring in the four-day tourney.
Winners of the Professionals event, according to Mr Aggrey, would take home a cash prize of GH¢50,000.00 and a trophy.
The event is being supported by Zen Petroleum, Tang Palace, Rocksure, GGBL, Old Mutual, Ghandour Cosmetics, Strategic Security Systems and South Africa Airways.
According to the AAG president who is serving his last term in office, the competition offers a platform to produce decent and competitive talents that could take golf to the next level.
