Collins Amoah files nomination to contest Ablekuma Central NPP parliamentary primaries

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Collins Amoah, yesterday filed his nomination form to contest the parliamentary primaries for Ablekuma Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.

Party faithful flocked the NPP office clad in NPP branded T-shirts and paraphernalia carrying placards with inscriptions “The great policy implementer, highly recommended, among others”.

The filing process was preceded with a float through the streets of Ablekuma Central amidst drumming and dancing.

Accepting the forms at the NPP office, the Chairperson of the Ablekuma Central Elections Committee, Miss Mariama Karley Amui, commended Mr Amoah for his decision to contest in the parliamentary race.

She urged all the youth in the NPP to remain united and desist from using violence to settle disagreements between each other as it will only create division in the party and set it up for ridicule.

“We should come together and love ourselves, anytime you want to say something, think about it critically and also be absolutely sure that whatever information you are carrying out is the truth,” she said.

The Parliamentary candidate hopeful, Mr Amoah said the Ablekuma Central Constituency required a strong person to secure the NPP’s agenda to break the eight hence his decision to contest the primaries and subsequently the national elections.

He added that when given the mandate to represent the party, he will ensure the NPP retains the seat in the constituency, adding that the overwhelming support from delegates was a clear indication that he will be victorious at the primaries.

Mr Amoah further urged all delegates to support his campaign and vote for him as he was capable of bringing change to the lives of the delegates and the members of the Ablekuma Central Constituency.

“In every party there are factions and it requires a unifier. I have come to unite all factions in the party to secure victory in the upcoming elections,” he added.
