The maiden Betway sports writers’ conference is scheduled for tomorrow and Friday in Accra and Kumasi respectively.
Organised by the online betting company Betway in collaboration with the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), the conference is expected to have hundreds of journalists from across the country in attendance.
The conference would focus on equipping sports journalists with knowledge in live sports broadcasting, pre-game analysis, conducting post and pre-game interviews as well as bringing them up to speed with global sports broadcasting standards.
SWAG Vice-President, Maurice Quansah along with other seasoned veterans in sports reporting in Ghana would take young budding journalists through sessions of skill development.
Betway Country Manager, Kwabena Oppong Nkrumah encouraged sports writers across the country to take advantage of the training to equip themselves and display their professionalism in reporting on the GPL to promote the game.
