Possibilities Foundation-Ghana, a Non-governmental organisation based in the north, last Wednesday presented relief items to widows and the aged at Chiana –Katiu community in the Paga/Chiana District of the Upper East Region
The items included assorted clothes, footwear, bags for children and adult. It formed part of the Foundation’s annual charity tour of the region to reach out to the needy and poor, with relief items to make life bearable for them.
The Executive Director of the foundation, David Nchor in presenting the items to the beneficiaries on behalf of his team stated that “each of us has a responsibility of helping make the life of widows and the aged in rural communities better by sacrificing the little we can.”
Moreover, he said the NGO was established purposely to mobilise support for vulnerable people in rural communities in the areas of education, charity, health, water and sanitation.
He also used the opportunity to thank his partners, donors and volunteers for supporting his vision through the years and appealed to people with kind hearts to partner him reach out to more people and communities.
The beneficiaries thanked the group for the kind gesture and called for more help from groups and individuals to improve their well-being.
