NPP, NDC youth advised against inflammable language

A renowned businesswoman in the Greater Accra Region, Rejoice Dorcoo, has advised faithful of the two major political parties – New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) to avoid using inflammable language against themselves, as even their leaders were not enemies but political opponents.

“President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and former President John Mahama are not enemies but political opponents and they belong to different political ideologies, ideals and there is no cause for the youth of the two major political parties to be on each other’s throats instead of engaging in healthy political discourse,” she intimated.

Madam Dorcoo expressed unhappiness that even though the leaders of the two main political parties were friendly, their followers fought or engaged in unnecessary discourse that raised tension in the country and maintained that President Akufo-Addo and former President Mahama were not enemies and did not believe they would ever be enemies but political opponents.

She observed that from their days in Parliament till date, they had remained friends which was a well-known fact and should not be misconstrued they were now enemies because of the political situation they found themselves in at the moment.

“The youth must learn from leadership and emulate them since it was pointless to be fighting amongst themselves at the neglect of growth and development of the country because democratic credentials have soared high to the admiration of other African countries, it is unfortunate a few citizens are trying to derail our democratic march and
always remember that we are all Ghanaians with a common destiny,” Madam Dorcoo cautioned. -GNA
