NPP kick-starts processes to retain power in 2020

National executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have begun processes to retain power in 2020.

The team, led by the party’s National Organiser Sammi Awuku, has been engaging the Upper West Regional leadership of the party and vibrant groups within the party on how to effectively strategise for Election 2020.

Mr Awuku, addressing a section of the media, described the atmosphere as one that smacks of absolute determination, dedication and commitment by the teeming party leadership and members, to work hard for a convincing victory for the NPP in the 2020 elections.

“The team spirit exhibited by our party folks was awesome with a great sense of commitment, dedication and determination for the task ahead in 2020, at the core of the national leadership’s message to the party leadership across the country, is the fact that they should eschew complacency and also regard the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a serious contender.

The team will be touching base with the rest of the leaders across the northern part of the country with a firm conviction that the NPP will be prepared for a spirited 2020 campaign.

Sammi Awuku was accompanied by the National Women’s Organiser, Kate Gyamfuah; the National Youth Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye and the National Nasara Coordinator, Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa. They have already been to Bole and Sawla in the Northern Region and Wa in the Upper West Region.
