MP builds capacity of constituents

Alhaji Dr Mohammed Adam, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Karaga Constituency in the Northern Region, has again offered his profound assurances to play a pivotal role in the education of students in his area.

“I am very passionate about the agenda of educational capacity building because I have been a beneficiary of student loans and will forever be cognisant of the relief it brought to my parents and I during the trying times of my childhood,” he said.

“It is my hope that through the opportunities from the AEF, the burden of not being able to fund academic logistics would be lifted off deserving students”, he added.

Alhaji Dr Adam made the remarks when he addressed a gathering of 70 student-beneficiaries of the Anta Education Fund and some constituents in the Karaga constituency, and recounted his commitment, dedication and determination to building the educational capacity of his constituents began before his days as a parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He said he supported and assisted 33 students at different stages of tertiary. as well as supporting and assisting teaching staff with 50 laptops to incentivise them, and also to facilitate their work. He also commended all the dignitaries present at the occasion for their support, assistance and assured the beneficiaries and audience of his unflinching support and assistance to the people.

Alhaji Dr Adam promised to sponsor 20 best students out of the 770 students who sat for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination in his constituency to boost the morale of other young children in the constituency to also take their education seriously.

He explained that it was one of the ways intended to use in raising educational levels in the constituency and also reminded the graduates of their role in society and encouraged them to aim high in their academic pursuits. –citinewsroom.com
