Kantanku Global Foundation supports needy children in ghana

The Kantanku Global Foundation has donated some assorted clothing and footwear to some needy children in Kpasiri, a village in the Wa municipality in the Upper West region of Ghana.

The donation forms part of the foundation’s response to some pressing issues affecting the community, especially needy children.

The power of community proves that when people care and come together, change is more than possible. Kantanku Global Foundation has taken up the challenge to create a more compassionate and community-focused environment to model the value of generosity and selflessness for the needy and more community-based supports in the areas of education, health care, shelter, food, sanitation, and basic essential needs to facilitate the successful growth of mankind.

Kpasiri is a farming community that is confronted with numerous socio-economic challenges that are common among developing communities in the region. Most people in the village fall into the poverty bracket, and they barely make ends meet.

The community is predominantly a farming community that cultivates on a small scale. Most youths, especially females, have resorted to migrating to urban centres to learn skilled apprenticeship training, mostly in sewing, but end up halfway due to financial constraints that could facilitate their daily transport to and fro, food, and utility expenses. The only health facility in the village lacks equipment, making it difficult to access healthcare.

In a video message, the Founder of the Foundation, Mr. Emmauel Nana Marfo, said even with the scanty resources at the Foundation’s disposal, it will continue to provide comprehensive essential services such as emergency aid, food and water supplies, shelter, healthcare, sanitation, and education to the marginalised.

He thanked the donors for their immense contributions to showing care and love for the needy.

Mr. Marfo recounted that the Foundation has so far supported many lives in three regions in Ghana, such as the Upper West, Volta, and Greater Accra, at different humanitarian services on countless occasions and continues to impact the poorest of the poor for a better future.

According to him, many high-profile personalities, in their beginnings, encountered socio-economic challenges before they realised their enviable heights, and he called on all well-endowed people to support and engage in charity work for a prosperous future.

The Assembyman for Kpasiri Electoral Area, Hon. Saeed Abdul Rashid expressed gratitude for the benevolent gesture of the foundation in identifying the pressing needs of the community and responding to them. He appeals to donors to support the foundation in other areas, especially healthcare equipment and agricultural technology training, to promote and address the wellbeing and welfare of the people in the community.

The parents of the beneficiaries were very grateful to the foundation for coming to their aid; adding the donation will go a long way to mitigate their challenges.
