Inspector Ama Entsie installed Nkoso Hemaa of Ekumfi

 A Police Inspector (Insp), Rebecca Nana Ama Entsie, was last Saturday installed the Developmental Queen “Nkoso Hemaa’, of the Ekumfi Otuam in the Central Region.

Insp. Entsie, the Administrator of the Central Cook House at the National Police Training School at Tesano in Accra swore an oath of allegiance be­fore Nana Ama Ntwe III, queen mother of Ekumfi Otuam and assumed the stool name Nana Ama Entsie I.

She was accompanied by queens, elders and Asafo warriors and indigenes through the principal streets of the town amidst drumming, sings and firing of musketry.

The new Nkoso Hemaa’s colourful outdooring was graced by people from all walks of life, includ­ing traditional rulers in their colourful kente apparel and gold ornaments, personnel of the Ghana Police Service, expatriates, family and friends.

It was also to commemorate the 2023 Ekumfi Otuam festival.

In an interview with the Ghanaian Times, the developmental queen assured the chiefs and people of Otuam of her determination to promote cultural values and ensure development in the community.

“I pledge myself to be faithful and loyal to the chiefs and people of Otuam, I promise I will serve all people without discrimination and also work hard with the chiefs and queens to execute policies and programmes to better the lots of thee people in the area,” she stressed.

The new developmental queen said she would partner stakeholders within Otuam and its environs to ensure discipline among the youth in the commu­nity and beyond.

Nana Ama Entsie I, promised to show good lead­ership skills and appealed to the people of Otuam to support her to discharge her duties effectively.

She thanked the chiefs and people of the town for confidence repose in her and assured them that she would collaborate with them to ensure development in Otuam.

The chiefs and queens of the town took turns to commend Nana Ama Entsie I for her installation and assured her of their support to help her achieve her goals as the developmental queen in the area.
