The Bonabear Foundation Ghana has donated some building materials and food items to the New Life Orphanage at Nungua as part of its effort to support the less-privileged and vulnerable children in the recent fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Leader of the Bonabear’s team, Ambassador Bernard Kofi Bonarparte, who is also the Regional Volunteers Coordinator for the International Human Rights Commission in Ghana called on the public and other civil society organisations not to totally shift attention to only the frontliners of the fight against the novel virus, but also do well to remember the neglected children in the various shelters across the country.

Bonabear Foundation has been supporting neglected and abused children in Ghana for the past years.

The team usually spends valuable time with neglected children during Christmas and put smiles on their face.

The foundation also joins the world to mark and create awareness on child abuse and neglect every April, whilst highlighting the importance of good menstrual hygiene to school children in  May, as it is marked as the world menstrual hygiene month.

It also educates churches and communities on the negative effect of child abuse and neglect, reuniting children with their families and supporting neglected children in critical medical conditions.

At present, the Bonabear Foundation is raising funds in support for young Emmanuel Antwi, who is currently undergoing treatment of a swollen leg.

The foundation has worked with the Ghana Education Service, Faytex Sanitary Pad, Dream Africa Care Foundation, The Breasted One Foundation, and many others to support neglected and abused children.
