A 68-year-old man, Albert Salu, has allegedly committed suicide after he was found hanging dead on a rope from the ceiling of his room at Anlo-Afiadenyigba in the Keta Municipality of the Volta region.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mrs Effia Tenge, Volta Regional Public Affairs Officer, confirmed the tragedy to the Ghana News Agency,
He said last Sunday, a relative of Salu reported the case to the Keta District Police.
DSP Tenge said when the police went to scene, they found Salu hanging on a rope from the ceiling of the deceased.
Meanwhile, police in Anlo-Afiadenyigba have commenced investigation into the case and the body has been deposited at the morgue at the Keta Municipal Hospital for preservation and autopsy. -GNA
