Fifi Kwetey launches ‘Arise for Ghana series’

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Fiavi Kwetey has introduced ‘Arise for Ghana Series,’ an online episodic short broadcast.

The weekly series, to be aired on his social media pages and the NDC platforms, aims at addressing critical issues, relating to leadership, governance, values, attitudes and actions that shape national development.

In a Facebook post, Mr Kwetey explained that ‘the Arise for Ghana’ was a series meant to speak to all patriots of the land-which words incidentally constitute the very first line of the NDC anthem.

The first line of the NDC Anthem which was composed by the late Ghanaian veteran musician, Jewel Ackah read; “Arise, arise for Ghana! Ye patriots of the land.”

He explained that the call wasfor millions of NDC supporters and all Ghanaians to appreciate the magnitude of the difficulties facing the nation and, hence the need to put nation above all other considerations.

In the inaugural episode, Mr Kwetey called on all Ghanaians, starting from the NDC members

and sympathisers of the ruling party, to arise for the country and embrace the responsibility of nation-building.

The General Secretary of the NDC said the partywas dedicated to nurturing individuals who hold their country dear and prioritise it in all their endeavours so as to propel the socio-economic development of Ghana.

He noted that the series aims to affect the psyche of Ghanaians, given the critical juncture Ghanaians foundthemselves with respect to cost of living and life in general.
