The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) aspirant for Suaman Constituency in the Western North Region, Frederick Addy, has pledged to provide laudable projects to improve livelihoods of his constituents and transform the constituency if he is voted as their MP in the 2024 general election.
“I pledge to provide laudable projects that will improve the livelihoods of my constituents and transform the constituency to attract investment if you vote me as your MP in the 2024 general elections,” he stressed.
Mr Addy noted that he remained committed, dedicated and determined to contributing towards developmental projects initiated by the communities and traditional authorities to the benefit of constituents’ even though he was yet to be their MP.
He made the pledge when he supported the Karlo community with 50 bags of cement and an amount of GH¢5,000 towards the commencement of the construction of a health project.
Speaking to the Ghanaian Times, Mr Addy, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Freddy’s Group of Companies, considered it necessary to support the project started by the community to address the health concerns in the area.
“The Karlo community has a Community Health-Based Health Planning Services (CHPS) compound, which was later upgraded to a health centre, but lacked space and logistics which compelled the leadership of the community to seek aid for the construction of community driven project,”
He commended members of the community for their solidarity and unity towards a common goal and entreated other communities in the constituency to take a cue from the Karlo community to unite towards undertaking community-based projects to address certain challenges confronting them.
Mr Addy assured his constituents of his continuous assistance towards projects initiated by communities to transform livelihoods until such facilities were completed and furnished for use.
“If I am voted as the MP for the area I will use my share of the MPs Common Fund to initiate more projects, create employment and provide stipends for constituents to initiate social intervention programmes to curb unemployment through self-help projects to improve welfare of the people,” he indicated.
Nana Kofi Ankorah, the chief of Karlo, expressed his excitement and gratitude to the MP hopeful to augment their efforts to put up a health facility to address the health needs of his people.
