A former Ghana international footballer, Mr Samuel Kuffuor has presented sanitation and cooking items to the Dzowulu Special School in Accra.
They included cartons of bottled water, liquid soap, hand sanitizers, clothes, rice, cooking oil, shoes, school bags, mini tablets, and toiletries among others.
The former Black Stars player made the donation through his school, Godiva International School located at East Legon, Accra.
Known for his physicality on the field of play, Mr Kuffuor is best remembered for his time with Bayern Munich, a club he represented for more than a decade; winning more than 14 honours and playing over 250 official matches.
Presenting the items, the ex-footballer said giving back to the society had always been among the core values of the Godiva International School which he founded.
He said children deserved to be shown compassion because they can make a positive change in the world.
“Let us always make it a point to be the change we want to experience in this world. Children are a blessing so making them happy should be everyone’s priority.”
Mr Kuffuor called on individuals and organisations to emulate the kind gesture of the Godiva International School.
The headmaster of the Dzorwulu Special School, Mr Frederick Tetteh, expressed gratitude to the former Black Stars player, saying the donation was timely.
