The Great Commission Church International (GCCI) over the weekend commissioned a total of 63 pastors into the church ata special ceremony held in Accra.

This included 56 permanent elders, seven new ministers and a newly elected Ghana National Council Chairman of GCCI.

The ceremony, which formed part of the activities lined up to climax the church’s 32nd Annual National General Council Meeting (ANGCM) 2022, was on the theme “Imitating Christ in how He reached out to the lost world”.

During the ordination the current Chairman of the Ghana National Council of the GCCI, Apostle Professor Samuel Asuming-Brempong, advised the newly elected to see themselves as role models for many people to follow.

“You are all examples to many so your lives must be well vested with the scriptures and the word of God,” he said.

Apostle Asuming-Brempong also charged the elders and ministers to be filled with the Holy Spirit in wisdom and truth at all times as well as fulfilling all functions entrusted to them.

On the part of the newly elected Ghana National Council Chairman of GCCI, Apostle Samuel Vincent Ansah expressed his gratitude to God and the church, stating that his fundamental vision was to make sure the gospel reached out to all part of the world.

He further appealed to the Church, all Christians and the other churches to continuously pray and send the gospel to as many places and people they could reach out to.

“As we are aware, Christians are the majority in the nation, forming about 71 per cent of the population, if we all come together to pray and make the gospel known to many, there would be so much peace and stability in the country,” he advised.

Giving the sermon, the Chairman of the Executive Council of GCCI, Apostle Joseph Felix Kwesi Mensah, stated that we were in trying times and there was the need for everyone to stay under the power God.

“Once we are Christians, we are bound to go through some sufferings just for the sake of his name but if we stay under him we would succeed,” he said.

Apostle Mensah noted that, in order for Christians to keep up good attitude while awaiting Jesus second coming then there were three things needed to be done.

“We all need to have the urge for endurance, continue being faithful and having the passion for soul winning, this, when done would keep us ready for our lord as his word clearly states in Matthew 24:13 ‘but he who stands firm to the end will be saved’” he noted.
