Dr. Sam Ankrah asserts no misappropriation in the ‘Man in the Mask’ campaign.

Presidential aspirant Dr. Sam Ankrah had vehemently refuted allegations of misappropriating the intellectual property of the widely recognized ‘Man in the Mask’ campaign.

The accusations surfaced in the aftermath of the launch of Ankrah’s own political endeavor, the ‘No Masked Promises’ campaign, which notably incorporated a mask reminiscent of the one associated with the original initiative.

The creators of the ‘Man in the Mask’ campaign didn’t hold back in accusing Dr. Sam Ankrah of not only utilizing their intellectual property but also hijacking the essence of their campaign to advance his personal political agenda.

In response to these allegations, Dr. Ankrah issued a comprehensive statement asserting the baselessness and unfounded nature of the claims.

In the statement Dr. Ankrah clarified, “At no point during my campaign have I purported or expressly claimed to be the originator of the so-called ‘Man in the Mask’ campaign. Neither have I asserted anywhere that I am the ‘Man in the Mask.’”

He emphasized that, at the time of launching his campaign, he was unaware of any legal or natural entity associated with the name ‘The Man in the Mask’ and ‘#TheNewForce,’ and had no knowledge of any intellectual property rights connected to them.

Taking a proactive stance, Dr. Ankrah called upon the originators of the ‘Man in the Mask’ campaign to retract what he deemed a defamatory press release that was circulating globally. Simultaneously, he seized the opportunity to extend an invitation to citizens and political stakeholders, urging them to participate in open and honest dialogue.

Dr. Ankrah emphasized the importance of unity under the guiding philosophy of his ‘No Masked Promises’ campaign, envisioning a political landscape where leaders are unafraid to reveal their true selves and subsequently fulfill their commitments.

“Together,” he asserted, “we must work towards reshaping the political landscape for a future where leaders are unafraid to show their true faces and subsequently deliver on their commitments.”

Dr Sam Ankrah implored Ghanaians to delve into his policies, particularly highlighting his youth policy, and gain insights into his plans to address economic challenges, combat corruption, tackle social inequalities, and uphold the rule of law for the overall stability and progress of the nation.
