Ghanaian products to be sold on QNET

pQNET, a global e-commerce company, has expressed its desire to absorb locally manufactured products among its products line for global sale.

The company’s Regional Manager in charge of Sub-Saharan Africa, Biram Fall, who disclosed this said only quality Ghanaian products, would be sold on the site.

 “It will be a tremendous opportunity to have locally manufactured products among our products but such products should be of greater quality,” he said.

Mr Fall mentioned that for 20 years, the company’s grassroots business model powered by e-commerce, had helped empower millions of entrepreneurs in more than 100 countries worldwide, adding that “we are ready to do business with local entrepreneurs but greater quality of products is what we are looking for”.

He was addressing a press briefing after the launch of the company’s entrepreneurial opportunities in Kumasi at the weekend.

Mr Mamadu Osman, Ashanti Regional Manager, Ministry of Trade and Industry said QNET’s presence in the region was in line with government’s policy to reduce unemployment among the youth.

According to Mr Osman, e-commerce was the order of the day and implored the youth to make use of the opportunities QNET was offering as the government would render its support to the company.

The chairperson of the Technology Sector of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), commended the company for expanding its operations.

“It is good to know that QNET is an, e-commerce business and it is our wish that our local products are absorbed among their products,” he said.
