Lord’s Pentecostal Church International dedicates new chapel at Lakeside Estate

The General of Overseer of the Lord’s Pentecostal Church International (LPCI), Apostle Richard Buafor on Saturday, dedicated its new chapel with a call on government to consult parents in the implementation of the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE).

According to him, the church believed that, it was the role of parents to educate their children on matters of sexuality hence, it was inappropriate for leaders to legislate it without parents approval.

He made this call at a dedication of its new branch (chapel) named Faith Family at Lakeside Estate at Ashaley Botwe in Accra.

Apostle Buafor indicated that, there were serious issues confronting the country which needed urgent attention than the CSE, adding that thousands of people were unemployed with others striving to earn a living to survive.

In addition, he urged the congregation to devote themselves to honour God and commit themselves to walk in the good works ordained for each of them.

“May this chapel be a portal of heaven on earth where divinity meets with humanity and a place of encounters that will transform lives and affect generations until our Lord Jesus comes,” he stated.

Apostle Buafor disclosed that, his tenure as the general overseer had witnessed the construction of three chapels mainly from the resources of individuals, saying ‘Out of these three, Reverend (Rev.) Dr Chris and Reverend Dr Mrs Edem Sokpor have built two.”

He urged the congregation to commit their resources and themselves to the Kingdom of God to inherit its associated blessings.

Rev. Dr Chris Sokpor, Pastor of the LPCI, Lakeside Estate Branch said, the journey from having a dream to build a chapel for God in the vicinity to realising that dream took great faith.

He indicated that, the walk with God would not give a full picture but it required Christians to trust him one step at a time.

”As we gather to dedicate the chapel today, it is our prayer that the same God that helped us will help you also to accomplish every dream He has placed in your heart to the glory of his name,”Rev. Dr Sokpor stated.

In addition, he said leaders of the gospel believed that whatever bestowed on them was from God, hence, the need to use them to serve his purpose.

Rev. Dr Mrs Edem, co-Pastor of the LPCI, Lakeside Estate Branch indicated that, she drew her strength from God in carrying out her ministerial and corporate duties.

According to her, being a wife, mother and a corporate worker had not been a stumbling block in doing her best to promote the kingdom business, saying “God enables us to do what He has deposited in us.”
