Brighton reject Chelsea’s bid for Caicedo

Brighton have turned down an improved offer of £70m from Chelsea for midfielder,Moises Caicedo.

The Blues made a £60m bid for the Ecuadorian last month but this was knocked back, and their second proposal received short shrift from Brighton as well.

The £70m offer was rejected within seconds on Monday, and Brighton remain insistent that they do not want or need to sell Caicedo.

The 21-year-old only signed a new deal at the Amex Stadium in March which runs until 2027, and the Seagulls have the option to extend it by a further 12 months.
