Nyaho-Tamakloe asks Bryan Acheampong to withdraw ‘reckless’ comment

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has asked Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Abetifi Constituency in the Eastern Region, to withdraw his ‘reckless’ comment and apologise to the citizenry.

He noted that for Mr Acheampong to say that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will not hand over power in 2024 elections was a reckless comment for which he must apologise to Ghanaians.

Mr Acheampong, who is the Minister of Food and Agriculture, after a walk dubbed ‘Walk to Build a Better Ghana’ with members, supporters, faithful and sympathisers of NPP at Mpreaso-Kwahu in the Eastern Region on April 8, 2023 stated that the party would never hand over power to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2025, the walk was graced by Vice President, DrMahamuduBawumia.

He pointed out that the NPP would ensure it remained in government at all cost to continue to improve livelihoods of citizens and warned that the NPP would show the NDC they had the “men” should they try to use intimidation, threats and violence in the 2024elections.

Commenting on the development, Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe indicated that Mr Acheampong must withdraw and apologise to the citizenry for his shameless statement saying “Mr Bryan Acheampong with all the properties he has acquired from the Kwahu to the Akuapem Range is known but can he honestly account for the numerous properties with independent enquiry?

“His indiscipline and violent tendency has reached legendary levels and it is about time the President and the leadership of the NPP call him to sanity but failure to do that will further injure the party and lead it to a total collapse.

“Some of us in the NPP will not sit down unconcerned for such irresponsible behaviours alien to the party and inimical to national growth and development to continue because development is what our country requires now, and as a cabinet minister that is what Mr Acheampong should address on political platforms such as it was offered him last Saturday,” Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe fumed.
