Moshie Yadega Community in Ghana gets new leader

The Greater Accra Moshie Yadega Council of elders in collaboration with the Greater Accra Council of Zongo Chiefs successfully performed the 40days prayer (Adua) of the late Greater Accra Moshie Yadega Chief Alhaji Naaba Tuguri. This religious rite was followed by the installation of a new chief in the person of Adamu Hamid Ouedraogo also known as Nii Abbey Okanfrah I (Development Chief of Sarpeiman) and popularly known as Staff as NAABA RAMIA (Greater Accra Moshie Yadega Chief)

This colourful traditional ceremony took place over the weekend at Chief Yadega Palace at Mamobi in the Greater Accra region. 

The occasion was witnessed by religious leaders, traditional rulers, government officials and a huge public representation from the christian, muslim and traditional communities across the country and beyond. 

Special guests of honour included the National Chief Imam Sheik Dr Osman Nuhu Sharubutu and the  King of Yatenga in Burkina Faso and many others.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr Sharubutu congratulated the new Moshie Yadega Chief on his successful installation and entreated him to work hard and hand-in-hand with the appropriate bodies to ensure orderliness and tackle pending challenges facing the Muslim communities in order to restore peace in the region and beyond. 

He also advised the general public especially the Muslim communities to render any necessary support to the newly installed Chief to help bring development. 

Chief Adamu Hamid Ouedraogo on his part assured the Muslim community of his unflinching support through out his reign that he will use his office to project and promote development.

Touching on the development in the  Community, he stated that unemployment situation has been a major wrecking challenge facing his communicants and that he would work in tandem with stakeholders  to resolve it.

“I will work in collaboration with the leaders of the country to promote the development of the Moshie Yadega Community and the Whole Muslim community at large.” he stated 

He appealed to all to support him throughout his reign as the leader of the community.

 He urged the youth in the country to channel their resources into the agriculture sector in order to have economical independence.
