A colorful ceremony was on last week Saturday held at the headquarters of the Faith Evangelical Mission Worldwide in Accra, to witness the ordination of Bishop Bobby Harley-Neequaye, as the newly elected Chief Bishop, and Apostle John Stanley Clottey, as Deputy Bishop of the church.
He succeeded Frederick France, who had been conferred with the newly title, His Eminence Chief Bishop Fredrick France.
Chief Bishop Bobby Harley-Neequaye joined the Ministry in 1974 as a student, and became a full time pastor in 1990. A couple of years later, precisely in 1992, he was appointed the General Secretary of the church, a responsibility he held until his new appointment.
The Deputy Chief Bishop, John Stanley Clottey was the Superintending Apostle of the Lashibi District of the church, and the National Youth Pastor since his appointment in 2009 by the late Chief Bishop Dr Isaac Rex Noi.
In his sermon, Reverend Canon Andrew Torgbor from the Anglican Diocese of Accra, urged members to fully support activities of the bishops.
He explained that, bishops were to oversee activities of the church which includes, supervising the clergy within their diocese.
Chief Bishop Harley-Neequaye thanked his predecessors for their tremendous contributions, which had put the church among the respected religious groups in the country.
He said the newly elected bishops would strive on the success of their predecessors to position the church in a manner that would win more souls, by empowering the church evangelism team.
