Autochek Ghana Launched… Boost for Ghana’s Automobile Industry

Autochek Ghana, an automotive technology company has been launched in Accra with focus on changing the fortunes of the automobile industry in the country for the better.

Formerly operating as Cheki Ghana, the new brand is expected to use technology to ensure a more convenient way of buying, selling, fixing and financing vehicles.

Speaking at the launch, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Autochek Africa, Etop Ikpe said a platform has since been developed “for all things car to be done on Autochek.”

“With the Autochek App, one can get access to vehicles to buy, put up cars for sale and also enjoy after sales service at optimum convenience and ease. It’s a tech platform that will marry all stakeholders together to have a great union” he stated.

This he said, was a move to bring everyone in the automobile industry unto one umbrella to transact business and benefit from finance options available.

He added that, the intention was also to ensure the dream of every African to own a car became a reality.

Consequently he said, the youth especially could tap into the numerous opportunities available in the automobile industry to enhance their livelihoods.

Automobile sector he said remained one of the largest employers of government with a whopping $45Bn made annually in the used car market and an average selling price of $5000.

Mr Ikpe said Autochek intend to formalize the used car selling system in a well structured form to adequately meet the demands of customers as the sector continued to grow.

“We need to bring transparency and invite partners to invest in the sector with tremendous growth potential,” he said.

Challenges affecting the sector including standardization of prices, mysterious car grade and condition, lack of standardized aftersales support, lack of credit options, absence of one-stop for cars, insurance and registration he said would be addressed by the Autochek system.

“This is a technology driven solution that would deliver the best in terms of car dealing across the country and beyond,” he added.

The Autochek ecosystem he said include, inspection and grading services, trade, after sales, financial services, logistics and Artificial intelligence and data science.

Head of Business at Autochek, Yvonne Ahile urged the public to get unto the platform to receive the best deals for all kinds of vehicles.
