Jonathan Awuah, the Eastern Regional Economic Planning Officer, urged the participants to keep abreast with the legal instrument of the assembly concept to empower themselves and enable them to contribute effectively and efficiently at the assembly sessions.
Christiana Dugbazah, the Human Resource Manager of the Birim Central Assembly, explained that assembly members were at the heart of the decentralisation system, hence her decision with management to organise the programme to equip them with the requisite knowledge and skills about the operations of the district assemblies.
