23 Black Queens selected for Benin encounter

The Black Queens Head Coach, Nora Hauptle, has selected 23 players for the sec­ond round of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers.

The list sees the return of IK Nokorpping’s Azumah Bugre to the squad after sitting out of the last game due to injury.

AS FAR club defender, Blessing Shine Agbomadzi, also gets the chance to join the squad after a bril­liant season in Morocco.

Huptle also reserved places for a few local representation including Mary Amponsah, Stella Nyamekye, Kerrie McCarthy and Adama Alhas­san as they hope to cement a place in the squad for the Games properly.

The full list include Ernestina Agambila, Grace Acheampong, Anesthesia Achiaa, Vivian Adjei Konadu, Princella Adubea, Blessing Shine Agbomazi, Adama Alhassan, Susan Ama Duah, Mary Amponsah, Grace Asantewaa, Gifty Assifuah and Evelyne Badu.

Doris Boaduwaa, Portia Boakye, Azumah Bugre, Jennifer Cudjoe, Janet Egyir, Linda Eshun, Cynthia Konlan Fiindib, Alice Kusi, Kerrie McCarthy, Stella Nyamekye and Safiatu Salifu.

According to an FA statement, the first leg fixture is scheduled for Saturday in Cotonou with the reverse fixture fixed for the Accra Sports stadium on October 31, 2023.
