Zakat and Sadaqat Fund donates $5,000 to support victims of Turkey earthquake

The Zakat and Sadaqat Fund on Thursday do­nated $5,000 dollars in aid of the victims of the Turkey earthquake.

The chairman of the fund, Naa Alhassan Andani, led a delegation to present the cheque for the amount to the Turkish Ambassa­dor to Ghana, Mrs Ozlem Ergun Uluesen, at her residence in Accra.

Naa Andani,on behalf of the Zakat and Sadaqat Fund manage­ment, expressed condolences to the government and people of Turkey on the disaster that has claimed thousands of lives and injured many.

For her part, Mrs Uluesen thanked the management of the Zakat and Sadaqat Fund for­supporting the victims of the earthquake.
