Word of Faith Fellowship Church presents items to Dodowa Hospital

Word of Faith Fellowship Church, a Dodowa-based Christian religious organisation, last Friday presented assorted clothing to new born mothers at the Shai Osudoku District Hospital at Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region.

The items included blankets, fabrics, baby clothes, toys, socks and other items for the mothers.

The gesture formed part of the church’s usual outreach programme to the hospital and the community.

The Head of the Church, Pastor John K. Soudi, presenting the items, indicated that it’s the duty of every society or group to always render its corporate social responsibility to the people and community where it operates.

Pastor Soudi stated that these little acts of charity would keep the hope of the mothers alive, and promised to team up with partners abroad to provide more beds for the newly born mothers towards ending the shift system currently undertaken by the hospital.

The Director of the hospital, Dr Kenn Brightson, commended the group for the gesture that had become a normal routine.

According to him, Pastor Soudi and the church had been joint partners of the hospital since its construction and had always been at the side of the facility in times of need.

“Pastor Soudi is a friend of the hospital, he has on several occasions presented beds, incubators, spirits and other items that have continually cemented the bond between the two partners as such must be commended,” he added.

Dr Brightson said the facility had now become the preferred choice for most people, especially those outside the District, and assured that everything possible would be done to maintain the “Zero Maternal Mortality Policy”.
