A 64-year-old woman, who is suffering from a brain tumor, has appealed for support to raise GH¢50,000.00 for surgery to save her sight.
Ms Rose Afriyie, a pretty trader, is suffering from meningioma (a brain tumor) and needs the amount for immediate medical attention, else, she would lose her sight.
She has for the past six months been receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
The surgery is said to be better performed in India or South Africa.
A medical report on Ms Afriyie indicated that the tumor had invaded a major sinus (drainage for most of the veins) in the brain and that she needed financial support for surgery.
She is unable to read and cannot engage in any economic activity due to her condition, which she developed after she was struck with stroke. – GNA
