We’ve rectified our mistakes in 2016 electoral defeat–Kwakye Ofosu

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a former Deputy Communications Minister in the erstwhile John Mahama-led administration, has assured that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will at all cost win the 2020 elections.

According to him, leaders of the party had put in place proper measures to curb whatever mistakes that occurred during the 2016 elections.

He insisted that nothing could prevent the party from winning the 2020 elections as the current government has lost focus on what to do saying, “We have realised our mistakes in our 2016 election defeat and are vigorously working at it to come back to power to resourcefully make use of the nation’s assets.”

Mr Ofosu slammed President Akufo-Addo and his governing team for refusing to accept responsibilities due them, but kept on apportioning blame and maintained that
“President Akufo-Addo and his government must stop lamenting to us and rather solve the challenges they promised to fix when given the mandate”.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) established a 13-member committee to investigate the cause of the party’s defeat to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 elections and recommend remedies.

The committee was chaired by former Minister of Finance and Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission, Professor Kwesi Botchwey. -peacefmonline.com
