We’re ready to weed out indisciplined members-NDC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has given a strong indication that the party is ready to weed out all undisciplined members.

It stated that it was imperative that such bad lots were taken out of the party to ensure some level of sanity because people belonging to groups and associations were to ensure they worked in line with the constitution of the groups.

The party noted that it was for it to exercise its authority, weed out all those who were grossly indisciplined, who had violated the constitution, rules and regulations of the party and acts that were tantamount to bringing it into disrepute.

Former Member of Parliament for Tamale Central in the Northern Region,Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, pointed out that disciplinewas required for the sustenance of any group and “if members of a group who profess the same belief or faith decide to act not in accordance with the constitutional regulations of that group, they must be fired”.

He said“the party is ready to summon all individuals who go in contravention of their laws to the Disciplinary Committee.to explain why sanctions should not be meted out against him/her for acting that way,” Alhaji Fuseini warned

His comments come on the back of the expulsion of the former Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, Bernard Allotey Jacobs, from the party and the suspension of Stephen Atubiga, Chairman for the Mion Constituency in the Northern Region, for engaging in anti-party activities and denigrating the NDC.
