Wapic Insurance Ghana Limited, an insurance company which has been operating in the country for the past 11 years, has changed its name to Coronation Insurance Ghana Limited.
A statement signed and issued in Accra on January 15 by the Managing Director of the company, Adedayo Arowojolu, said the change was subject to board, shareholders and regulatory approvals.
It noted that, by the change of name, the company aims to reinforce its strategic partnerships, valued and business philosophy.
The statement said it also provided an opportunity for the company to position itself with a name that would remain indelible in the minds of customers.
It stated that the change of name would not affect management, address, phone numbers and range of services and products offered by the company.
“Note that there has been no change in management, address, phone numbers and range of products/services we offer. Kindly also note that all existing policies remain valid,” the statement added.
It explained that the change of name signals a bold next step in the journey of the company and asked the public to share in their new corporate identity.
