TMG donates 200 pieces of hand sanitisers to NTC

TECHNOLOGY Management Group (TMG), a rural electrification project management company has donated 200 pieces of hand sanitisers to the New Times Corporation, publishers of Ghanaian Times and the Spectator.

The gesture is to aid staff of the newspaper publishing house to protect them against the coronavirus pandemic which has so far affected nearly 200 people in the country.

Managing Director of TMG, Ms Doreen Williams who presented the sanitisers yesterday said the company decided to extend its corporate social responsibility towards the NTC because of the nature of its business.

She said as one of the frontline institutions in the COVID-19 combat, staff of the corporation especially journalists, were exposed to high level of risk and needed to be protected.

Ms Williams, who was accompanied by her special aide, Abraham Delove Tetteh, expressed the hope that the hand sanitisers would help reduce such risks that staff of the corporation faced.

The Acting Managing Director of NTC, Mr Martin Adu-Owusu, receiving the donation thanked the company for having the protection of the corporation at heart in these troubled times.

He used the opportunity to advise the members of the public who had no legitimate reason to be out to stay at home as directed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for their own safety.

The brief presentation was witnessed by Editors of the Ghanaian Times and Spectator, David Agbenu and Mrs Goergina Quaittoo respectively.
