Tema MDCC ends Women’s Convention

The Tema District Women’s Convention of the Muzama Disco Christo Church ended yesterday at Manya Jorpanya in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region.

The four-day event had the theme: “Any woman who walked truly with God has a story to tell.”

The occasion which was used to launch the Muzama Women’s Glow, the women’s prayer wing of the church, sought to empower women to come together and support each other in times of need.

It also sought to promote their personal growth, development, well-being and self-care, towards creating the opportunity to grow their leadership skills to help the church and one another to succeed.

Issues discussed during the period include, Christ can be found even in times of trouble, God can see anyone when all has failed, God never fails, Identity of Muzama Church, Nothing is too difficult for God and God never forgets what we do to others.

The Chief of Manya Jorpanya, Nene Dr Tei Djahene Korabo IV, who was the guest speaker urged women to continue preaching peace everywhere they find themselves.

That, according to him was the only way to help cement and maintain the peace the country was enjoying.

“Women constituting the highest population in the country are always the peace makers in their homes, communities and the world, hence, the desire and the need for them to keep on with their prayers and peacemaker roles for the benefit of mankind,” he said.

The Queen mother Manya, Nana Ayerko Blemayoe II, used the occasion to appeal to nursing mothers in the country to have their children immunised against the six childhood killer diseases including measles.

The District Women Chairperson, Ms Gladys Nsiah in her sermon tasked women to be steadfast in the Lord and always be prayerful to God.

“God did it for Elizabeth, Hanna, Esther and Naomi as well as Abraham, Moses and Joshua, hence, the need to be proactive in order not to copy what others do,” Ms Nsiah said.

Apostle, Amos Arhin who was the guest of honour commended the women for their efforts and sacrifice and urged them to lift high the flag of the church in order to win more souls for the Lord.

The occasion was also used to launch the Muzama Disco Christo Church credit union to empower the members, especially, the women economically in efforts to improve their standard of living.
