Take Heart FC aim to bounce back

Second division side, Take Heart FC have vowed to bounce back when they host Kpone Fair Point in their second league game to be played at the Anyamam Park in Ada on Monday.

Last year’s division three league winners suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Prampram side Faith Soccer Academy on Sunday in their first game of the season.

Head Coach, Samuel Obodai, however, blamed the defeat on the absence of some key players who were set to return for their next game at home.

“It was unfortunate we did not get our best players to start the campaign but we are hoping to get the full squad to clinch all three points,” he stated.

He said, the aim of the team was to qualify to play in the Division One League (DOL) next season and would do everything possible to get the full squad ahead of their next game.

Key players including Tokoli Emmanuel Obiba, Adikah Francis Moral, Abayateye Joshua Narh and Obitchere Christian Lawer, he said would be available to feature in their next game.

“With all these players available, we would be ready to go all out for the three points and make a huge statement especially on home grounds,” he stated.

He said their opponents are equally a good side and one of the best in the zone and therefore looking forward to a very tough game.

“They are very strong and very difficult to play but we have what it takes to grind our first win of the season,” he stated.

He urged their supporters within Anyamam and its environs to come in their numbers to cheer them on to victory.
