The Street Academy, a sports and culture NGO, at the weekend feted more than 400 students under its care at a special dinner.
Held at the Academy’s premises in Accra, the event saw students
from other public schools streaming in to take part. The annual programme, which is in its 25th year, is to put smiles on the faces of the under-privileged students.
“The dinner had a great impact on children in the community who joined students of the Academy.
“We care for all children and we’re always happy when we put
smiles on the faces of these less-fortunate kids,” Director of the Academy, Ataa Lartey told the Times Sports yesterday.
A number of corporate institutions who sponsored the dinner include the National Lottery Authority (NLA), CalBank, Absa Bank Ghana Limited and the German Embassy.
