St Anthony Church Nungua celebrates Agape feast day with sports, others

ST Anthony Catholic Church in Nungua at the weekend climaxed its week-long activities with an Agape feast and sporting events that drew scores of parishioners in and around the community.

Explaining its relevance, Priest-in-charge of the St Anthony Catholic Church, Fr John Amoah, said the occasion had been earmarked to be celebrated on June 13 where parishioners gather as a family to share food and drinks and also socialize.

“St Anthony of Pardua Feast Day which falls on June 13 presents the opportunity for parishioners to gather as a family, break bread and share,” he emphasised, whilst hammering on the need to love one another and be each other’s keeper.

To ensure good patronage, the event was held on Saturday since June 13 fell on a working day.

On Monday, the church had an Eucharistic service to glorify and thank God for his protection and favour, thus far.
