SPDTOA elects new executives

The Seed Production Division Technical Officers Association (SPDTOA) of Ghana Cocoa Board has elected new executives to steer the affairs of the association for the next two years. 

SPDTOA has over 70 Technical Officers and managers as members who are responsible for the production of hybrid cocoa pods and seedlings for the Ghanaian cocoa farmers and also undertake soil fertility improvement programme.

Speaking at the swearing in at the weekend in Accra the Deputy Executive Director of SPDTOA, Dr Esther Anim-Kwapong advised the new executives to discharge their duties diligently and efficiently to uplift the image of the association. 

She further advised them to be more innovative and come out with programmes that would motivate members be on top of their jobs. 

Dr Anim-Kwapong admonished the new leadership to protect the purse of the association at all times to make is financially vibrant. 

The chairman of the association, officer-in-charge of Saviefe Cocoa Station in the Volta Region, Mr Daniel Azamatsi on behalf of the executives thanked members for the unflinching support for the old executives and urged them to give the new executives their maximum support to move the association forward.

 Mr Azamatsi pledged to deliver on his mandate as new and innovative programmes has been outlined to make members benefits from the association.

He further urged members to continue to have confidence in the new executives and support them with their prayers. 

Other elected executives were Laud Nunoo Ntreh (Vice President) of Kumasi regional office; Miss Vesta Baako (Secretary) of Fumso Cocoa Station; Mr Gideon Owusu Katakyie (Financial Secretary) of Techiman Coffee Station and Mr Paul Aninakwa Kwakye (Organiser) of Goaso Cocoa Station.
