SOSA present items to Koforidua Prisons

As part of its fifth anniversary, the Old Students of Solomon Commercial College (SOSA) in the New Juaben North District last Saturday, presented assorted items to the Koforidua Prisons in the Eastern Region.

The items included bags of rice, cooking oil, gari, loaves of bread, washing powder, bathing soaps, toiletries,  soft drinks and bags of sachet water.

The Vice President of SOSA, Mr Joshua Teye Nertey, said the students considered the inmates as their neighbours since the school was  close to the prisons, saying  “it was important for us to put smiles on their faces during Christmas.”

Receiving the items, the third in command of the Koforidua Prisons Service, Superintendent Francis Adjei Kwakye, expressed gratitude on behalf of the inmates to the association for the kind gesture.

He also pleaded with other benevolent organisations to emulate the steps of the Solomon Old Students Association (SOSA).
