Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (SMEs) have been urged to explore partnerships to build their businesses.

According to the General Manager, Business for TECNO Mobile Ghana, Mr Daniel Glover, who made the call, said partnership was one of the means start-ups could use to raise capital to finance and build their business.

“When two or more enterprises study each other’s market, goals, and identify their competitors and their unique selling prepositions and they identify areas they can complement each other and come together as one units, they will produce more than double of what they would have produced as a single unit and generate more income,” he said.

Mr Glover stated this at the launch and exhibition of the new TECNO Camon 20 series phone in partnership with MTN Ghana in Accra on Monday.

The device is a new addition to the TECNO Camon smart phone series with improved upgraded features for phone users.

Some of the upgraded features of the new Camon 20 series include a steady night portrait video feature, video stability, professional wide-angle macro camera, and fingerprint.

Mr Glover said it was time for Africa to address business challenges, such as individualism, by encouraging business owners to establish partnerships in order to increase productivity.

Mr Glover said TECNO over the past couple of years had become the most popular brand with a comprehensive mobile device portfolio ranging from mid-range models like the POP series, the Spark series to premium models such as Phantom and Camon models on the Ghanaian market.

“TECNO is committed to re-defining digital experience by consistently pursuing the ideal fusion of cutting-edge technologies with aesthetically pleasing contemporary designs,’’ Mr Glover stated.

He added that the CAMON 20 Series had been designed for smartphone users who pay attention to brand design and love fashionable products.

In an interview with the media, the Acting Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana, Mr Guido Sopumeh, said that MTN’s partnership with TECNO was anchored on the ‘Vision 2025’ which was intended to churn out digital solutions to address the challenges facing Africa’.

Touching on the issue of cyber security, he advised individuals to be responsible with the use of technology since it was advancing rapidly.

“MTN is investing a lot in cyber security to ensure that there is a lot of safety and security on the internet,” he said.
