The prosecution in the case in which Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are standing trial, on Thursday told the Adjabeng Magistrate Court hearing the case that it would call four witnesses.
Superintendent Emelia Asante told the court that prosecution had already filed the witness statements of three, pending one and a video clip as well as some exhibits.
She, however, prayed the court to give prosecution time to file the remaining witness statement and the exhibits.
The court presided by Mr Isaac Addo gave the prosecution up to July 15, 2019, to file the rest of the statement and exhibits, and adjourned the case to July 16.
At the last sitting, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were both granted bail in the sum of GH¢50,000.00 with one surety each.
Charles Nii Armah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, and Livingstone Etse Satekla, aka Stonebwoy, were in May 2019 put before the court for their involvement in the chaos that disrupted this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The two have been charged with offensive conduct conducive to the breach of the peace, and while Stonebwoy is facing an additional charge of displaying a weapon in a public place without permission.
They all pleaded not guilty to the charges against them, and the two have been cautioned to be of good behaviour. – GNA
