Retaining power in 2024 surmountable task–MP

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Damongo Constituency in the Savannah Region, Abu Jinapor, has tasked members and supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to be disillusioned the party retaining power in 2024 is an unsurmountable task.

He noted that all that was needed was to govern with care, continue to listen to the citizenry, govern well, with respect, with care, remain focus, steadfast, united and peaceful to make the party formidable to retain power in 2024.

“Never get disillusioned 2024 is an insurmountable task, all we need is to govern with respect, with care, continue to listen to Ghanaians like the president is doing, all we need is to govern well, be united and if we are united, the formidable elephant will be unstoppable in 2024, and we will break the eight,” Mr Jinapor entreated.

Mr Jinapor, who is the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, made the call at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Damongo Constituency Delegates Conference for 2021 was under the theme: ‘Forging Ahead in Unity to Consolidate our Gains’ which brought together 462 delegates comprising polling station executives, constituency executives, former constituency executives, council of elders, founding fathers, regional executives, municipal and district chief executives and other government appointees.

He expressed confident President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2025 would hand over to another NPP-elected president because the party was poised to break the eight because no president had done more for the Savannah Region adding that “the creation of the region including provision of water, sanitation, road, health and education projects among others put the president and the party ahead of previous governments.

“No president and no party has done more for the Savannah Region than President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the record, evidence speak for themselves and created Savannah Region, about to construct regional and two district hospitals in Damongo and Savannah region,” Mr Jinapor touted. –
