‘Remain resolute to regain power in 2024’

The Madina Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC) Abdul Rahman, has urged members of the party to remain resolute and united to bring the party back to power in 2024.
According to him, the current economic challenges confronting the country calls for God’s intervention to redeem the country from total collapse.
Mr Rahman made these remarks on Sunday when he inaugurated executives of the Gbangbalu (ward) formally Assemblies of God Branch of the NDC at Teiman in the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
He alleged that the current political climate was seriously affecting development in NDC’s strong holds as the government was deliberately withholding projects earmarked for those areas to create disaffection for the party.
“Even though the areas are part of Greater Accra the least said about the roads in NDC strongholds the better thus making mockery of the country’s democratic dispensation, I appeal to the executives of the ward to use your interactive skills and forge a united and resolute front to maintain the party’s stronghold in the area,” Mr Rahman stated.
“We want to choose competent, dedicated and committed members to unite and lead the party to victory in 2024, there will be no room for self-seekers and people with divided tendencies, unity is key, to the branches no room for tribal or religious tendencies,” Mr Rahman warned.
Prince Awuku, on behalf of the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, also appealed to the people to elect executives who would take key decisions to retain the seat and total victory in 2024.
Hajia Ishatu, the Constituency Women Organiser, said the party had learnt a lot from the last elections and urged members to reorganise themselves properly to prevent the true reflections of the results going into the wrong hands.
Farouk Sai Adjah, the Constituency Deputy Youth Organiser, stressed on the members to pressurise the executives to get the MP visit them regularly to address their concerns.
Frank Opare Sarpong, the ward coordinator pleaded with the members to channel all grievances through the executives and pleaded for the second coming of former president John Dramani Mahama to rehabilitate the deplorable road network in the area.
Freedom Dogbey, the Gbangbalu ward chairman assured of using his rich experiences to build a strong and vibrant group in the area.
The other executives were Godsway Hodogbe, Secretary; Isaac Diame, organiser; Martha Sokpe Ameho, women’s organiser; Louis Asisia, youth organiser; David Dzidotor, communication officer; Prosper Kumedro treasurer, with Prince Kudzo and Gloria Kpetsa as ex-officio members.
