Ref Annan appointed for Accra derby

Class One referee, Edward Annan has been appointed as the centre-man for Sunday’s epic betPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL) clash between Accra Hearts of Oak and their city rivals, Accra Great Olympics.

The game, scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium at 3pm, is dubbed the Accra derby and will renew the age-long rivalry between the two traditional clubs.

Referee Annan, by appointments made by the Referees Committee for the match day two fixtures, will be supported on the lines by Richard Nartey and David Addico.

Franklin Akumatey will be the Fourth Referee while Annan Lomotey serves as the Match Commissioner.

The Medeama versus Real Tamale United (RTU) clash at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa, will have referee Martins Akudzi at the centre, Seth Abletor and Theophilus Akugre on the lines, Laud Nettey as Fourth Referee and Mr OduroNyarko as Match Commissioner.

Referee Eric Owusu Prempeh will lead a team of officials including assistants Emmanuel Arkaffie and Alhassan Abdulai, Fourth Referee Robert Musey and Match Commissioner Charles Darkwa to the Akoon Park on Monday where Samartex host Berekum Chelsea.

Also on Monday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, King Faisal will welcome Aduana Stars; a game to be officiated by Referee Frederick Samena; assisted by Isaac Asante and Jasper Adenyo, Fourth Referee Emmanuel Don Quansah and Match Commissioner, AlhassanSeidu.

The Bechem United game against Asante Kotoko has been declared outstanding over the latter’s continental engagement with RC Kadiogo in a second leg fray.

However when a new date is fixed, it will be handled by Referee Joseph Kwofie and assisted by Stephen Balanguena and FrancosBondzie Arthur on the lines with Jacon Assafuah and Samuel Gyasi and Fourth Referee and Match Commissioner, respectively.

Today at the Nana Konamansah Park at Nsoatre, Referee Abdul LatifQadir will officiate the Nsoatreman versus the GoldStars clash that will have Alhassan Abdul Rauf and Mikaal-ilFauzan as assistants, Emmanuel Otoo as Fourth Referee and YeboahAcheampong as Match Commissioner.
